Tonya began her career in finance and treasury. And although baking had always been apart of her life she never considered it as a career. However, She never gave up on baking and decided to take it a little more serious. In 2012 she decided to apply to the Johnson and Wales weekend intensive baking and pastry program. After a grueling 2 years she graduated with honors, before graduating, she did a 3- month internship at Legalsharbor-side. In 2022 Tiers of Joy baking Studio was formed. Tonya is also an Avid Poet deeming her the ”poetic baker”.
